Acupuncture is used to treat a wide range of conditions from low back pain to migraines. The needles improve your body’s circulation and assist all levels of healing.

Acupuncture Treatments:

Initial acupuncture consultations include a thorough intake of your presenting condition, an energetic reading, and a treatment with needles.  The initial appointment lasts approximately 1 hour.  Follow-up appointments last from 45 minutes to an hour.  All treatments are done with sterile, one-time use, disposable needles.

It is typically recommend that patients come once a week for 6 weeks so that the energy can build in such a way to create a solid foundation for healing.  After 6 sessions, patients become quite attuned to their body and its needs, and will generally know intuitively how often they need to come for treatment.  Some patients will continue with weekly treatments, some will extend to every 2 weeks, some to every 3 weeks, some to once a month, and some will come back the next time another health issue arises.

The only time it is recommended that a patient come for treatment more often than once a week is in the case of acute muscle strain, serious illness, relapses of autoimmune diseases, preparation for surgery, labor induction, or fertility.
