Sound baths are a way of achieving a meditative state through the vehicle of sound vibration. These classes are meant to help you learn how to profoundly relax.
Sound baths are a form of vibrational healing. In these classes, you will lie back and make yourself comfortable, put an eye mask on to block out the peripheral light, and gradually open yourself up to the healing vibrations.
The bowls used in this class were individually hand-hammered and forged with the intent of healing blockages on the physical, mental and emotional planes. Physically, your body will absorb the vibrations, and this alone feels very soothing. Mentally, your mind will be distracted away from your repetitive thoughts. Emotionally, you will travel through different feelings as the sounds open up trapped energy in your body.
The beauty of sound baths is that they bypass the intellect and give your mind a rest. When you follow the sounds of the singing bowls until you can’t hear them anymore, this process takes you into a profound state of relaxation.
We are currently only allowing 5 people in our In-House Sound Baths, so that we can adhere to social distancing protocols. Even as people are getting vaccinated, we feel this is appropriate. Everyone is asked to wear their mask in the room during the Sound Bath, and we have tested it thoroughly, and it’s actually quite pleasant, and you forget that you are even wearing a mask because the experience is so relaxing.
We had our first Live Stream Sound Bath on YouTube on March 26, 2021. It was our test pilot, and we were very pleased with the sound quality. To that end, we are adding a Virtual, Livestream Sound Bath to our OHM Calendar. We have left our first Livestream recording up on our OHM Center YouTube channel so that you can experience it for yourself.
Our intention for having a late night Sound Bath 9-9:45pm is for you to have a relaxing experience to help you prepare for your night’s rest!
